Now in his 3rd season coaching the Birds, Michael has played organized hockey since age 5. His travel hockey career began with the Lakeland Sharks at age 8, before moving to Lapeer, MI at 10 where he played for the Lapeer Storm A-AA programs. He went on to play for the Port Huron Flags AA program and Junior A, B, and C hockey with the Michigan Mountain Cats. Michael is married to Raelynn and together they have three children β Jayclee, Daxon, and Maverick. His son Daxon Vath wears #43 for the Firebirds. #TravelSportsDad
Now in his 2nd year coaching the 2016 Firebirds, Chris is a USA Hockey Level 2 certified coach with 6 years of coaching experience. His passions are hockey, golf, hunting, and fishing β really anything that involves the outdoors. The game of hockey has been a passion since he was a young boy. The love for the game and the lessons it teaches kids about life. Hockey has been such a huge part of the Leonard family, bringing them together with so many other great families. The rink is like their second home. Chris is married to Nicole and together they have three children β Colton, Presley, and Weston. His son Weston Leonard wears #77 on defense for the Firebirds. #Hockey/CheerDAD

Alicia keeps the Firebirds organized behind the scenes β the schedules, communication, and day-to-day details that help the team run smoothly so the kids (and coaches) can focus on the ice.
